The Murph is in the bag for Memorial Day 2020. In memory of Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a US Navy SEAL killed in the line of duty in 2005, thousands of men and women (and some kids too) around the world challenge themselves to finish this workout: 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and then another 1-mile run. Oh, and Lt. Murphy did it with a weighted vest!
I scaled it back with no weighted vest and swapped out dumbbell rows for pull-ups. (Check our my story for my terrible push-up form!) I know 43 minutes of screaming muscles is nothing compared to the sacrifices men and women have made for their country. But I’m proud to honor them and their loved ones in any way I can.
