WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN, OR YOU THINK YOU CAN’T YOUR RIGHT.
Think you can be healthy? Your right. Think you can reach your fitness goals? Your right. Think you can get stronger? Your right. Think you can get faster? (You get the gist). All things start in your mind and attitude towards whatever you trying to attain, so we must believe that our goals are attainable to give ourselves a much higher chance of succeeding and reaching them. However, this takes discipline in our thinking. Instead of thinking ‘I’m gonna skip this workout today, I can’t be bothered’, replace that with ‘I need to work out today, I need to get better even if I don’t feel like doing it’.
At first, this can be tough, but this is where your ‘why’ (see previous posts) comes into the equation. Maybe you’re a footballer who wants to go to the next level or get a place in the starting 11, want to be a millionaire or a parent who wants to improve their health so you can spend more time playing with your kids. Whatever it is, think about this before you consume your mind with negative thoughts about your ability to complete a task. Think about your ‘why’.
