Day 53/66 🦈 Been watching videos about Tolkien’s work since morning...
Today I took a bit of rest from school and other duties and continued to draw requests and focus on myself as well. I have been listening to some nice videos about the Tolkien’s legendarium and I feel so informed and inspired to create my own fantasy world. Sometimes I wonder why I stopped writing.
I went to the gym as well today and focused on 2 of my goals for this challenge: hitting new PRs and headstands/handstands. I can now offcially do 4 sets of 10 reps with 60kgs on deadlift and I feel so proud. I think I can do sround 80 for 1 rep, but that doesn’t count for me. I’m feeling very confident and I think I have made great progress so far, even though the past few days have been hard on me. My mental health has decline somewhat so I can’t wait for my therapy session next friday. I know Instagram is the place of “perfect” people so I wanted to tell you this. No life is perfect. We all have our ups and downs and sometimes our demons catch up to us. And it’s not shameful on unsual to feel bad. This challenge is not about being perfect and reaching all of your goals in one day. I have to remind myself of this every day. We all grow at a different pace and you’re not a failure for not being motivated sometimes. Like I said many times, these setbacks are not the end of our journeys. This challenge should bring you long term effort and positive changes to your life, not a 2 month magical progress. It’s just the beggining. For me, recovery has been taking years of effort and it’s gonna take even longer. And that’s exactly why I’m not gonna give up on this like I wanted. There’s a few days left of the challenge, but an eternity of changes and possibilities. Don’t forget about that ❤️
